CBM HOLDS SOLIDARITY RALLY IN SECTOR 34 MARKET AS PART OF SERIES OF PROTEST RALLIES AGAINST UNJUST CHANGES IN VAT RETURN
Chandigarh 30th July 2016 : Terming this extension as victory of trader unity Anil Vohra President Chandigarh Beopar Mandal thanked the Administration and ruling party for considering the difficulties of traders
 Earlier traders gathered in strength in spite of cancellation of protest rally as announced yesterday and first in series in sector 34 market, many senior functionaries of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal addressed the slogan shouting guttering of traders
            The stage was managed by Sewa Singh Rayat patron of the furniture market Association. The Rally addressed by Sh. Anil Vohra, President, Charanjiv Singh Chairman, Diwakar Sahoonja Patron CBM, Purshotam Mahajan Patron, Ram Karan Gupta Advisor cum Chairman Vat subcommittee of CBM, Jagdish Kapoor Advisor, Kamal Jit Singh Panchi Advisor, Sanjiv Chadha Gen Secy. Subhash Narang Sr. Vice President. 
 Addressing the rally in sector 34 Sanjay Tandon President BJP who was actively trying to seek relief for the traders all these days told the traders about deposit of Tax with old system upto 30th July and extension of 10 days in submission of quarterly return of last quarter, during which period the ways shall be chalked out for deferring the amendment till next financial year when probably GST shall be enforced country wide.
All these days many comprehensive meetings were done and memorandums given to Assistant Excise Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner cum Excise commissioner UT, Finance Secretary U T and Advisor to Administrator by delegation of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal
Charanjiv Singh Chairman CBM had said that Traders want any such changes to be implemented only when the GST shall be enforced Nationwide.
it was too harsh measure at short notice in-between finance year just  before likely implementation of coming GST said Diwakar Sahoonja Patron, CBM.
