NO ASSESSMENT NOTICES TO DEALERS HAVING LOCAL TURNOVER UPTO 1 CRORE.
MONTHLY SEMINARS ON GST TO UPDATE TRADERS.
A delegation of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal consisting of Charanjiv Singh Chairman, Ramkaran Gupta Chairman Vat Committee CBM, Kamaljit Singh Panchchi Advisor, Ravi Parkash Kansal participated in the meeting and presented a memorandum which was also read by Sh. Ramkaran Gupta, on behalf of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal. After discussion, following were the outcome of the meeting.
According to Anil Vohra President CBM, A fresh representation will be given tomorrow by the CBM to ETC to defer amended Form-15 till GST is implemented. ETC agreed to forward it to MHA, Delhi for approval. He said that ETC reconfirmed that dealers having local turnover up to 1 Crore will be considered deemed assessed and no assessment notices will be issue to them. If any such notice issued earlier will be cancelled if brought to the notice of department. On the demand of the traders ETC agreed to organize monthly seminars to update the traders regarding incoming GST and its implementation. On the demand of the CBM, ETC agreed to award category wise highest Tax Payer to encourage the honest assesses. He says that ETC agreed to consider reducing of Vat on items such as LED based Lights, Coconut, Sweets, Sanitary Napkins, Toys and School Copies which have more Vat rate as compare to neighboring states. A fresh representation will be given to the ETC tomorrow.
ETC also agreed to expedite refund cases and make it time bound for C-Form verification, if C-Form verification does not come within 60 days , it will be deemed verified and refund will be given.
