129 students and teaching staff visited at Chandigarh Police Head Quarters during the “Police Week”

Chandigarh 03rd Nov.2016 : Today, 129 students along with their teaching staff visited at Police Head Quarters Sector-9 during the “Police Week” to know the practical working of Police Control Room, Chandigarh. 39 Students of Carmel Convent School Sec-9, 45 students of Govt. Model Middle School Sector-23-D and 45 students of Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School Sec-27 visited Police Control Room to see the practical working of GPS based dial-100 system. Sh. Roshan Lal, SP/Communication and Law&order briefed the students about the step-wise working of Police Control Room on receiving the 100 number call.  He motivated the students to frequently use 100 number while in distress or watching anybody in trouble.  Students were also shown the PCR Vehicle, Mobile Police Control Room equipped with CCTV Cameras, Water Cannon Vehicle, Vajra Vehicle and Emergency Aska light etc. at Police Head Quarters.  Students were very excited to see the practical working of “Police Control Room”.
