A meeting of senior functionaries of CBM headed by CHARANJIV Singh chairman and councilor and presided by Anil Vohra President of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal was held over the issue of hurried FIR against Mayor Asha Jaiswal by the Police for visiting SNEHALYA and consoling a Victim of sexual abuse
CHARANJIV Singh Chairman CBM said such a harsh treatment to First citizen of the City done in haste was most unfortunate and the erring govt. officials be also identified and penalized.
Anil Vohra President CBM appealed for immediate quashing of the FIR as the visit was official and chance meeting was simply a gesture of consoling the victim and nothing illegal found by the Chairperson of Child welfare board
Diwakar Sahoonja Patron Chandigarh Beopar Mandal said if such FIR gets lodged in hurry upon a dignified social entity heading an elected body then Faith of public in the system also get eroded
Other prominent trader leaders who echoed the resentment against in just and hurried Lodging of an FIR and also demanded the revocation of the FIR were Sanjiv Chadha ,Pardeep Malhotra, Naresh Mahajan , Ashish Dugal all General Secretaries of CBM ,Subash Narang Senior Vice President CBM and Kamal Jit singh Panchi Advisor CBM to mention the few amongst many.
