Rotary Club of Chandigarh initiated the organ and eye donations campaign at the Institute for the Blind here today, informed President Neenu Vij.
In order to experience what darkness means, Rotarians including former world President of Rotary International Rajendra K. Saboo, former income tax commissioner, Surinder Pal Kaur, and various other members blindfolded themselves and went around the Institute to have the feel of the life of people who are visually challenged.
About thirty Rotarians signed the pledge to donate their eyes, Neenu Vij informed.
