To create awareness amongst masses regarding the importance of managing waste by adopting 4 Rs: namely Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Refuse, Book marks describing various ways to manage waste were distributed to the general public.
Chandigarh : The Interact club of the New Public School, sector 18-B Chandigarh shouldered the responsibility of educating the general public about celebrating Green Diwali and keeping our environment clean by organizing an awareness drive at main traffic light point at sector 17 Chandigarh on 13 October 2017 at 9.30 am.
To create awareness amongst masses regarding the importance of managing waste by adopting 4 Rs: namely Reduce Reduse, Recycle and Refuse, Book marks describing various ways to manage waste were distributed to the general public. “These small steps may go a long way in educating masses about the importance of everyone’s efforts in making the dream of clean India a reality”, said Isheta Mehta, student president Interact club.
“The students’ effort was highly appreciated by the public,” added Dr. Sanjeev Kamal Sharma who had accompanied the students in this drive. In the end Ms. Archana Sharma, Teacher In-charge, Interact club, The New Public School thanked the police personals at the light point for extending their help in managing the event.
