
The apps launched by the Adviser were including Swachh Toilet Locater App and Swachhta App. During the function GPS tracking of vehicle was also launched and Biomatric attendance of safaikarmacharis were implemented. The Chief Guest also distributed ID cards to the door to door waste collectors.
While addressing the citizens, the Adviser said that in order to increase the usage of public toilets, it is essential for citizens to be able to locate the nearest toilet. In this regard, the Ministry of Urban Development announced the launch of a mobile application called the “Swachh Bharat Toilet Locator” (SBTL), which provides citizens the service of locating toilets in their neighbourhood or vicinity.
He appealed to the citizens of Chandigarh to join hands with the Municipal Corporation to make the city number one in the coming Swachh Survekshan-2017 by giving their valuable suggestions on online citizen feedback questionnaire.

He said that it leads to a spirit of healthy competition among towns and cities to improve their service delivery to citizens, towards creating cleaner cities. Citizen participation is a very crucial component of this survey, social media and other traditional media channels will be used strategically at both national, state and city levels in order to educate citizens about the objectives of the survey and survey methodology.
He further said that the citizens of Chandigarh can convey their valuable online feedback through the phone calls, social media and by downloading “Swachhta app” etc. through http://www.swachh-survekshan.in link.
