Chandigarh 29th April 2017 : The artists and exhibitors from all over have come to Chandigarh to exhibit their ethnic weaves and traditional pure georgette  & cotton products in order to start of the wedding & summer season, with the theme of ‘RANGLA PUNJAB’ in which colours of punjabians and Rajsthani.
The Organizer of this exhibition “Rangla Punjab Smt. Archna says that she would like to showcase the designers attempts to promote exquisite traditional skills, cotton and creations of the weavers and encouraging them to be contemporary and economically relevant.
More than 40 designers and hand work artists are part of this exhibition which includes foil painted suits, aari work, block paintings, kota doria, kurtas, tops, batiq and ikkatt etc. From saris, dress materials, items of silk & georgette, cotton saree, suit dress material, fashion jewelry, home furnishing designer clothes animal fat free organic soaps etc. from North region of the country, the exhibition provided shoppers with a kaleidoscope of India’s color, diversity and talent. Designers and exhibitors from 7-8 States including Punjab, Delhi, J&K, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and many designers from metros working in collaboration with the designers are displaying more than 1,00,000 variety of their work here.
The exhibitor and Designer from Jaipur, Parul have come with handmade cotton umbrellas, bandan bars, jwellery bandni and puppets in this exhibition to decorate their homes specially drawing room.  She says that the customers are so much crazy to handmade products so she has motivated to work out in handmade materials.  The another designer explains the full wedding shopping and to cater the short items of ladies like bangale box, jwellery box, shagun thal, decorative mirrors etc.etc.
 The exhibition cum sale is open for last day  from time 10:30 am to 8:30 pm at the Himachal Bhawan, Sector– 28B, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh. The georgette and Cotton handloom products on display have a range between Rs.700 and Rs.10,000 at the upper end for exclusive hand crafted suits, sarees and dress materials.
The Organizer of Rangla Punjab’s said that the main social objective of the handloom exhibition was to promote weavers and encourage the handicrafts and provide a market to the handloom industry.
 “The organizer has conducted over 45-50 exhibitions more than 10 cities across India. Through these exhibitions, we have been able to create good market for the exhibitors and their handloom woven ware, even in places where exhibitions are not feasible. The specialty of fabrics and prints from many states is different from the other. Such is the variety of the fabrics and designs in the exhibition,” the exhibition motive is got pure cotton products direct from weavers to costumer without merchant.
