Chandigarh : (02nd Nov.2016) Today a special session of 2 hours on Information Technology Act and Intellectual Property Rights was organized in Recruit Training Centre, Sector-26, Chandigarh under the guidance of Shri Tajinder Singh Luthra, I.P.S. I.G.P., U.T., Chandigarh and supervision of Shri R.K Singh, I.P.S., S.P. Operations & Training in which 140 police officers/officials (Inspectors, Sub Inspectors, Assistant Sub Inspectors , Head Constables and Constables) of Chandigarh Police have participated.
Shri Mandeep Singh, LLM, PGDFS, PGDBA, MIPL, Expert of Punjab Police Intelligence Wing and Zonal Head ICICI Bank, Chandigarh delivered lecture to the participants and made aware of the various acts under Intellectual Property like Copy Right Act, Patent Act, Designs Act etc. and Cyber Law. He further disclosed in detail about the amended Information Technology Act, 2008 and their relevance to latest frauds. He also emphasized on the fake Face book IDs, launching hacking attacks and gathering computer logs for presentation in trail court
The main objective of the special lectures is to sensitize the police personnel regarding and presentation in the trial courts during the session, so, that maximum culprits may be booked.
