Chandigarh police solved 21 snatching and vehicle theft cases

Chandigarh police has a major breakthrough the newly constituted Anti Snatching, Robbery and Dacoity detection cell of Crime Branch Chandigarh arrested Vicky of Delhi and Dilshad of mauli jagran, chandigarh.  Chandigarh police solved 21 snatching and vehicle theft cases from both of them. 

During the briefing of the case SSP Chandigarh Police says that During the interrogation of these accused it has been revealed that they are involved in several cases of gold chain snatchings and vehicle thefts in Chandigarh and from them Anti Snatching, Robbery and Dacoity detection cell of Crime Branch is able to solve 18 cases of gold chain snatchings and 3 cases of vehicle thefts.

 The modus operandi of these criminal is that they used to target ladies wearing gold chains preferably older in age, who are pedestrian and by making excuse of asking the location of particular place, they used to divert once mind and then suddenly get close to the target to snatch their gold chains and after committing the crime they used to flee on Motorcycle.

These accused tried hard to sell these gold chains in Chandigarh and around, but failed to do so, as no jeweler accepted to this illegal sale and most of them demanded bills for these gold chains.

Accused Dilshad was snatching gold chains and keeping these with him with the intention that he will sell these when he will go to his native village in Distt. Bijnore (UP) before Diwali. Earlier also when he was arrested, he sold those chains to one of the jeweler in Distt. Bijnore (UP).

 Accused Vicky was snatching gold chains and keeping these chains with him with the intention that when he will go back to Delhi, will dispose off these chains there.  

Accused Vicky s/o Joginder Singh R/o # 117, Block A, Zilmil Colony Shahdra, Delhi is a Proclaim Offender in almost 45 cases and involved more than 125 cases of snatching, motor vehicle theft and burglary.
