Chandigarh, December 9, 2016: Congress Party candidates today got tremendous support from the local residents in different parts of city. Many of the residents welfare societies and market committees as well as youth also joined party candidates.  Maximum candidates interact with the residents door to door.  Cabinet minister of Himachal Pradesh Thakur Singh Kaul have also join the public meetings and rallies. 
Today HARMOHINDER SINGH LUCKY from ward number 1, to interact with residents while carrying out door to door campaign.  He spoke to the residents about the progress that has not been carried out in this ward by the BJP councilor. Also, the candidate Lucky assured to the residents for the betterment of lightening in the streets and parks.  He also assured that he will also taking care all the problems which has faced by the residents.
DEEPA DUBEY, candidate from ward number 02, along with other party workers carried out door to door campaign in sector 15. Tenement Residents apprised their problems which she assured to get rid of on priority.
Poonam Sharma Former Mayor and popular social activist from ward no. 04 today visited door to door in sector 23 along with her supporters.  The Former Mayor has been known for power packed tenure as mayor whether surprise raids at gambling hot spots and other significant contributions earned her the title of ‘Dabang Mayor’. From driving a tractor to a bike, this 53-year-old remained in the news throughout tenure as Mayor in 2015 for her bold acts.  In the first month after she took charge as the mayor, Sharma innovated a key step to promote the agenda of Save Girl Child by introducing baby kits. She also went in colonies to congratulate those who had been blessed with girl children. This is the 3^rd time Sharma has been contesting the MC polls elections. This time she is MC polls candidate from Ward No 4 comprising of sector 23, 24 and 36., she held a door-to-door.
While campaigning for ward number 08 Rajesh Sharma congress candidate  interacted with the ladies and the elderly in sector 37. Better facilities in and around the ward were assured by Sharma. He said, “the councilor who was the mayor but he ignored the development in this ward.  There is no cleanliness, maintainance green parks and pedestrians’ tracks.”
Ward number 9 congress candidate Gurbax Rawat today organized a huge car rally in their ward.  Early morning she visited the residential area in sector 40-A and B and held meetings with residents. Rawat said, I have assured that we will surely them to take remedial measures on these issues on priority.”
Jasbir singh Bunty, congress candidate of ward no. 10 today campaigned in his ward and interacted with residents of Sector 42.  He said that “Most of the residents are complaining about the ill managed parks, sanitation and parking woes.  Sitting councilor and candidate of BJP from this ward Hardeep singh neglect the development in this ward.
